for foam tire, you need a little bit small diameter in the front. usually you need 2mm smaller. it applies to other GPs.

when you go back to rubber tire, you cannot change tire diameter but to adjust ride high.

so...theres nothing wrong if changing back to rubber tires then...right? like...the wheels would all turn at the same time at the same speed...??

Hi. I don't race a Yoke but I have a Mugen and saw one of the forums above regarding how some people use Serpent of Mugen 2-speed clutches. Kawahara makes 2-speed clutches for the MTX-2 for around $65.00. Much cheaper than the stock Serpent or Mugen ones I think.

Dunno if that helps

And how much are the selling for?

To fix the pin wearing problem, simply buy a titanium, or steel drill bit, of the same size or larger than the hole in the hub, and drill it in, and cut it off....best, and simplest solution i have found. However, i have noticed that the newer GT-4R and the latest Gen. GT-4s have been comign with stronger pins.

I did not break a single part all weekend and I was running the stock clutch, gears and 2-speed. As a matter of fact all 5 of the top guys were running the stock 2-speed, clutch and gears. YOU DO NOT NEED ALL THAT EXTRA CRAP!!! I have had every Nitro TC on the market, except for the Kyosho, and the Yokomo is the best car I have driven.
did you race the car box stock or with some hop ups....like grahpite radio plate...threaded shocks....full universals...??

do you have mtx2 or v-one-r or impluse?
how do you think the GT4R compare to those?

Yes, I did run the car box stock. The GT-4R comes with aluminum side radio posts, front one-way, solid rear axel, new lower profile radio plate, threaded shock bodies, and aluminum side front over-drive gears. I have added the rear side aluminum braces but that is it. I paid $360.00 USD from www.Speedtechrc.com.

No I do not own any other car because the Yokomo is the car to have. I owned a Mugen and Serpent but no Kyosho. From what I saw at the Roar Nationals in Houston, Texas the yokomo is the best car. The Mugen would be next then the Kyosho.

The GT-4R also comes with new front universals. So like I said you do not need to do anything to this car unless you want to.

Is the locked rear made of steel or aluminum?

Talking

Heres my 2 cents on the GT4W

Pro's

1. Very well thought out chassis etc.
2. Every part fits well after trimming some parts.
3. Handling is awesome and parts are tough.
4. Nice upgrades available from YOKOMO at a resonable price.
5. up and down stops all 4 corners

Con's

1. Bearings are trash
2. Stock tires are trash.
3. 1st and 2nd designed tanks trash
4. leaky diffs.
5. instructions could have given more info for setting up the sedan.
6. No side belt tensioner a must have item.
