Mr Jolly--The R will be better overall on any surface. I watched the new car with foams on carpet as well as rubber on carpet at the IIC and it is impressive to say the least.

takes the orion Li-Po
when 4 cell get`s passed over here it is setup for that aswell
it works well rubber/carpet & rubber/asphalt
if this car is really a Foam/carpet setup car then i really don`t want it
UK ;;hardley any club or racing use`s Foams atall ,so it would be a complete waste of money getting it if it is a Foam chassis jobbie
bearing in mind this car is being devoloped in the states where Foam is really Big ,but UK it`s just a no go
proberly why the jrxs never caught on over here

I know Losi likes to promote the foam performance aspect of the car, but I have seen many comments like Mr Jolly's and I am concerned more people will have that impression. This could hurt sales. We all know any car could be used for foam and rubber with just set-up changes. But with companies like Corally and X-ray producing foam and rubber cars, promoting this as a foam car could and is making people feel this is a one dimensional car...and it's not.

You could always think about this. The regular jrxs did not need a different chasis to be good on carpet or asphaul. I have run mine on both and it really would not have benefited either way with a thinner / thicker chasis. The most you would do is pull out a few posts if you really needed to find traction, but not too many people needed to. If the car is truely good for both worlds, then it would be better for the person who is racing it....less stuff to buy and better yet less stuff to carry to the track.
