When the car was designed the Lipo companies were holding to a spec size and now are no longer doing that. So it is the Lipo companies that need to get their stuff together and decide on a specific size for the packs. Guys are having issues fitting packs in other cars as well, this not just an issue with Losi.

Another great aspect about the Type R is the fact that the lipo is enclosed within the chasis. At the track the other day, a guy with a xray t2 07 got t-boned on the batt side and it dented his pack making it useless. He even had a little lerf/balencing bar on that side. On the losi, if you wreck hard enough to dent the battery, the condition of the battery probably wont be the first thing on your mind.

Just rebuilding my diff and was wondering what the best setting would be. Normally I set my diffs so when I hold the spur and one of the rear wheels I can just turn the other rear wheel. The Losi has the extra rings in the diff to allow a little slip so whats the best method?

No slip in the diff. it will melt the plastic.

The losi diffs are designed to slip, a little.
assemble the diff, slap it in your car, hold both wheels, and try to spin the spur, it should be adjusted to the point where it is very had to turn, yet it should feel as if the diff is really loose.
Adjust it from there, and keep in mind that the front should be tighter than the rear.

Thats roughly what I have been doing. I wanted to just double check as I know the Losi diffs are slightly different from normal diffs.

I was there with KwikVdub and it was another GREAT day of racing. The guys at Blue Diamond do a fantastic job and as far as I could see everyone there had a good time.
It was GREAT meeting and pitting with Larry, I learned a LOT about what makes the "R" tick. By the end of Sunday my car was working better than it ever had.

I just got a Tekin ESC and looking at the best way to mount it on the car.
I use to stick it to the post.(front left side) Should I keep that aproach? I notice that Mike Haynes is now running it on the righ side and seem closer to the back...

I run my Losi Speedo on the right side as well. Mine is centered between the post on my cars.
