The green anodize was on Todd Hodges car and I doubt you will ever see it stock from Losi. You could just try a set of RCD's on the front and see what happpens. I think it should work if you don't run a spool. The LCD's never really stay tight even after a rebuild. They were the same way on the old car.

Thanks Yeti. I knew you could use RCD's on the front, I just want MIP's. The few products they make, they make well. I forgot to say one thing, anyone who hasn't clicked on that link to petitrc.com in post #7169 needs to check that out. Theres a TON of current setup sheets there for asphalt or rug runnaz.

That red looks pretty sick. I found the answer to one of my questions. In case anyone else wants to switch to CVD's, I found these for the old car that I'm pretty sure will work.

John Stranahan, who posted that pic of the LCD and CVD I posted told me they will work. The guys very knowledgeable, check some of his threads. Everyone makes mistakes though. I'll shoot Losi an email, although I'm not confident they will know for sure?

If you are using a one way they will work but the axle threads are not the same size as the older car. The CVD's are the same so you can get just the short axles for the type R and use them on the bones.

I'm using a diff. Those looked like the short bones for the one way I thought.
Those really aren't the ones I want anyway. I want the lightweight aluminum ones. John said he had them, I've seen the pics, he said it was just so long ago he cant remember the part number. Even though those are a Losi part number I'm gonna call MIP tomorrow and try and find something out.

If anyone is interested, here is a thread written by John Stranahan that I spoke about earlier titled "Losi Constant Velocity Drive vs MIP CVD". Its nine pages and I read the entire thing today. Its not just about universals, its got a lot of info about the JRXS that applies to the Type R as well. Its very tech heavy so it will make head hurt at times but its very well written. And if you do read it I'm sure you will agree with me that John is a true asset to rctech. He just started that CRC Battle Axe thread on the main page, go read the first post of that and you'll see what I mean. John puts alot of time, thought, and meticulous detail in to all of his threads for the sole reason of helping people like us. So go on and read one of his threads, and if you it like send him a PM and tell him thanks for what does.

Considering that they are the same knuckles as the JRXS and even the XXX-S you could find axles for a XXX-S, JRXS or even a TC3 and they will work with those dogbones. Losi hasn't changed the caster blocks or knuckles for awhile, they will work.
