The losi XTT tires have open-cell foam.

On the balancing comment, its most likely a combination of tire carcass and foam, but I know for sure that molded foam is a lot more inconsistant foam to foam than open-cell, far heavier as well. The only upside would be the stiffness, that could be advantageous on high bite tracks, as well as longevity, the molded do last longer. (But if the tire is wasted in 30-60 minutes of run time, do you really need the foam to last longer?)

I tried a 21bf in my Jammin last year. I know that truck is now considered a hog, but I just felt like it lacked the Oomph I needed. so I used a ninja 5 port engine. Truggies can handle more power, a v-spec would be perfect!

Thank's for the reply, Pro. I got a buddy who's getting a 8t but he's a newbie and on a tight budget. i was curious how the 3 port's did, since he's watching every penny. Maybe a go tech 5 port?

Thumbs up Sportworks!!!

Have you seen the motors we have been running? Let it get a little "moJoe" on it and bammmmm! $150 and you have a 10 minute motor that will run for 9+ gallons.
Great horsepower too.

GO .28 Sport is $130 at RC Compound, and it's a great motor. Plenty of bottom end and a descent top end.

I run a modded Mach 427 as a club motor, and couldn't be happier. I try to save my GO 7 port for larger events. I ended picking up the 427,used,for $70,then did the modding myself.
