The rest of the assembly went extremely smooth. Anyone out there with ideas about this diff?

I have the same problem and thought that it was a manufactuing defect. However, I think it is a design defect and was meant to be sloppy. Dont worry too much about it as I think it does not affect the car's performance. Just ensure that the diff is tight enough and does not slip.

My diff is also "sloppy" but it doesn't seem to affect the performance of the diff or the car, so it shouldn't be a problem, although it doesn't feel too good...

Mine too is sloppy. Took it to my LHS to get an experienced guys view and he said “thats sloppy! But wont be a problem to the performance of the car”.
He then went on to mention a little tip he had learn’t from Andy Moore. Andy has replaced the 2 spacers in the diff (part nos. Z857) with an additional ball bearing - part no. B020. Reckoned this made the diff more stable when running.
I’ve still haven’t run my Cyclone so can’t say if this makes any difference.

The Belt pulley on the Diff will 'rock' on the large diff balls. This is normal as the belt will pull the diff straight when spinning. However adding the extra ball race as mentioned above does help

Yea, I've been running my diff with the 2 bearings inside after what RC Zombies said about making it smoother, as said before though I still have slop.

Does anyone know where to get a locked centre pulley from?

Hi all,
First run with my new Cyclone last sunday.
The car work good also with standard set-up.
But after some run both front driveshaft bend, without crash.
Someone else had this problem?
Steel driveshaft are available ?(also from other brands)

No they are not available yet.
I use a spool with titanium racing drive shaft and no problem, no wear.

yeah TIR Driveshafts are really light and strong work really well
