Thats a really good question, I believe that the new truck is slightly longer than the old one, right?

Yes the new truck is longer. I think it would be cool to have the windshield and cockpit area way out near the front of the truck, kind of how mid motor cars look.

Is it just me, or has anyone else broken one of the shafts for the steering rack on the BJ4WE? I was racing Friday and noticed that my steering felt soft and spongy. I looked at it and it fell apart.

Be interested to see what the answer to that question about the steering is as I am still in the process of building mine. I come to a stop on the shocks as I was one short on those red rubber seals, a minor problem and one that should be fixed as soon as I hit the local hobby store.

I never had an issue with mine, and I don't think any one else did. I think you might have landed way wrong, or hit a wall/tube too hard and just right to cause it to break.

Thats not a part Ive heard of breaking really...we barely sell them, haha. It was probably just coming down wrong during a crash or something.

I've broken that steering shaft before, just right after the threads. Just replace it, it wont happen often enough to worry about. The car wanders and dosen't go straight when its broken, but you'll be able to finish a race.

That's where mine broke and that's also how it drove. I was thinking of changing to the B44 steering rack when it comes out. Do you know what all is involved. As far as I can tell so far it is going to need a new top chassis deck in front as well as the complete rack assembley.
