oh yea...?
anybody else doing it like this as well?

i dont have the sphere in hand to look at it.but is it a hard task to take the fan off?

looks like i will be running the orion vortex 13.5..

you pretty much need to mount any brushless esc on the right side. You will need to add weight to the left side to get it balanced left/right. If you mount it on the left side you have all the wires from the esc on that side as well instead of going across the chassis if it was on the right side. Also, since the belt is on the left side you can get the esc closer to the center with it being on the right side.

I haven't weighed both of them so I don't know which one is heavier, I "think" the GTB is a bit heavier but I don't have any numbers to back it up.

When I ran the GTB, I placed it on the right and extend the caps wire to have it mounted on the left with the receiver. Took off the fan and didn't need much more weight to be well balanced.

I mount the mamba on the left as the belt go below the "circuit board".

Here's the two most copied setups for the type R for foam carpet racing
Ok, here's a question....

I was going to use one of these two setups when I was building my Type R and it doesn't indicate whether to use any kick or squat with the suspension mounts. Are the hinge pins to be level front to back?

Can anybody provide me with a part number for the "tall" ballstuds that are used in the rear hubs and for the front kingpin?

What is the difference in height between the tall and standard ballstud?

Thanks

the kit ballstuds are the "tall" or standard ones, Losi sells shorter ones. Here's the page on Losi's site listing all of them, the "short neck" ones are the ones your after if you want a shorter one compared to the kit ones
