Arturo still races every month with us in Florida. He does quite a bit of development for manufacturers and some Pro drivers.

He's a great guy and a wealth of knowledge, willing to help anyone at anytime

So the question is what class and chassis does he run now?

Art runs just about everything,

He was prepping a Capricorn sedan for one of the guys going to the Nationals

Not too long ago he was doing some development work for Motonica

He was running Mugen MRX5 for a bit

He is still a Ko Propo Factory driver

I think he is about 60-65 years old and is never out of the A main.

Just to give you some idea of the level of competition in Florida, all of the A Main winners at the On-Road Nationals, race in the FORGASS Series and all of them except for maybe Morganti learned or worked with Art Carbonel

Oh Yeah, You guys had a picture of the Lucas Agitator. Lucas Garneau designed, developed and hand bulit that car while living in California. He know lives about 5 minutes from the Ft Myers RC race track in Ft Myers and races with us every month. He has the most modified MRX 5 you have ever seen. Another great guy, Lucas will help you out with anything you need.

We are getting excited about a new Carpet track in South Ft Myers, do some racing in the AC

Here we go. This is an ad for the Condor at a magazine from 1983. They also had a 1/8th offroad car but maybe on the 1/12th I was wrong. At least didnīt find something again.

I think there was a report on the Condor also with more pictures. But this is too much OT then.

Default Batteries for classic 1/12

Okay, I'm almost finished putting together a Kyosho Plazma Mk3 Limited from parts. I'm using some old electronics including a mint condition Airtronics CS-2P radio with the originial mini receiver(not small by today's standards but small then.)

The question is, do I run a 7.4v lipo or run 6cell sub-Cs or even 4cell sub-Cs? Its got a 19T brushed motor. Do you guys think the 7.4v lipo is too much?

What kind of 19t? If it's an 80's era 19t, maybe not. If it's a late 90's or newer, it's too much.

Its a Reedy 19T Spec Quad Mag. I guess its too much. 4 cell it is.

Come to think of it, I have a brand new un-used Race Prep AYK non-rebuildable stock motor. I think I'll use that with the 7.4v lipo instead.

Buy spare knuckles and wheels now if you run LiPo with any motor in your Plazma. The old batteries feel about half the power of what your LiPo will put out.

No need to buy, got plenty of spares.

I got the message anyways, run the 4 cell NiMh pack.

Started working on rebuilding the Fantom Mk2. Found I have two NIP Fantom Mk1 pod set and one NIP Fantom Mk1 bottom chassis plate I don't need. I would rather trade them for some other parts I can use instead of selling them.
