Ok.. i updated my lcd box from speed passion firmware to hobbywing firmware to use on a different hw esc, ive now got rid of the hobbywing esc and want to use it for my old sp esc but its saying i cant downgrade the firmware..
Have i pretty much rendered this lcd box useless? Or is there a way to flash it and start again?

hello just recently got a speed passion reventon s with the competition 3.0s 3500kv motor with a sakura xi sport i ordered off ebay from rc mart. when i first hooked it up on 2 cell 5000mah lipo it ran great for 10 mins. i could not remember how much charge was in my pack or if and where the lipo cut off was set on the esc. so i did all the steps to hook it up to the program card and to my laptop. i seen the lipo cut off was not set so i set it to 3.4 v and charged my lipo after all that i took it out for a test run. it ran fine for about 5 mins then no power to motor. turned it off i felt the motor and esc and it was cool to the touch. tried powering it up again but still same thing hooked it back up to laptop and it seemed normal. i tried reverting to stock settings still would not work tried updating firmware and it said something about not being able to update firmware. i then unhooked it. when i did it felt warm and had a smell to it. from what i have read since i bought it from rcmart on ebay there is no warranty? not sure what to do

just picked up the 21.5 V3 MMM for USGT, what seems to be the best overall timing board for this set up (came with 11-20)? Just get the +40 board? Only looking to buy one, they are more then half the cost of the motor...

what ESC are you using? if it offers a mod software that has timing adjustments. use whatever simulates motor can timing the best, determine in testing what timing works best, then order that board

Cain that's a pretty good idea but don't have an ESC that has the option of adjustable timing. I have a JustStock, Cirtix and a Reventon Stock

Maybe one thing you could try is see where others are with timing on there motors? it may not be exact, but it can give you a ball park range.

If only 1 board...get the yelllow board, set at middle and gear to 3.5 if using blinky software for indoor carpet.

Your recommendation of the carbon battery holder for the SP-1 was also a great move, 4th at this past weekend’s UF1 Midwest event, I didn't even have the car finished until 5 minutes before qualifier! Smooth.

Just picked up a Reventon R and I am trying to modify the profiles within the ESC but I am on a Mac. Can anything be done to put different profiles on the card with a Mac?

Hey All! New to SP, so I picked up a reventon-r for my FT b4.1 from speedpassion.net, support from
[email protected]. I really liked the iphone wifi functionality. This esc is brand new. Got all hooked up, upgraded and programmed, went to calibrate to my futaba 4pl and futaba rx with correct settings on tx: reverse, epa/atv at 100. w/tx on hold down set button flip switch on and all I see is solid orange on my orange SP esc. Tried a few times, no success. Any help? Thx!
