I apologize for making a post about belt tension and stiff springs and such but 650 pages was killing my eyes.

Tc6.1 tekin 5.5 80/35 other than that original stock

So 1st question how tout should the belt be (front) I’m on setting 25 or so just to get a little
Spring setting 8 the belt was droopy.

I ordered a belt asc31187. Although all suppliers including team associated says not for tc6.1 or say tc5 only??? Manual says to use that part number so not sure what’s up with that?

2nd question are springs what’s a decent rate for asphalt and drifting? Using silver now. And I do have a crap load of yeah racing springs.

3rd. Curious about reflex belt tensioner does it help?
And I take it the tc6.2 upper deck won’t work on the tc6.1 so I can use that belt tensioner?

Last question

What’s a good black spoke rim for 26mm slick rubber?

Thanks for any help and sorry for the trouble on other post

1. Most of the TC6 parts are from the TC5 and for the most part the headers weren't updated so don't worry.

2. No only way other than seeing for yourself, do 5 minute runs and see which ones feel better to you. I would start with the softest on the front and the stiffest on the rear then switch around...

3. IDK, but in the end you run the belt tension you have to run with the diff holders. There isn't a number set in stone and the belts in mine don't seem to rub anywhere.

4. I vote against black wheels ().

Hope it helps.

Thanks a bunch and on #3 I was thinking at least it would keep the battery off my belt.

And on #4 lol silver could work on a blue Datsun widebody white looks terrible

There should be some C shaped battery stops on the car, does your car lack those?

For a Datsun? Either those or those in my opinion.

There is and so far I’m lucky but this is my sons car and he is pretty good at making sure
Everything is secure so maybe not a big deal

I like both styles and I think he wants to try Solaris tires or rush with yellow inserts

Those rims should fit either right

Shouldn't be any problem with tires.

Never had issues with the stock way of securing the battery, I use a velcro strap and will try the awesomatix way sometime.

Does the Awesomatix battery hold directly bolt on or do you have to drill new holes

Quite possibly not but the concept is doable and that's my intent because I want to do away with the velcro.

Default 6.1 & 25.5 VTA gearing

Just picked up a 6.1 and wondering what's a good range of 64p gears and FDR
To run VTA with it?
Long straights,technical infield, asphalt.
Also... kimbro or what brand is best.
Thanks.

Wow that would be awesome!
All my cars are 64p and trying to minimize the tool/parts list.
