motor time....and I am cheap
looking for a motor, I have had 2 n21bf's (great motors) and axe mamba (dont think I will ever get one again).
with this said I am looking for a cheap (under $220) motor. here is the list....
jammin .21
go tech 5 or 7 port
n21bf (not sure if I want a 3rd one, only because I want to try something different... but i still think these are the best for the money)
or
rb s3II 3port
I really want to know more about the rb 3port ? can anyone tell me how it is to the n21bf ?
thanks for all the help.....

I have a Jammin JPX.21 and that thing is awesome. Has almost as much power as my V-spec (of course it's modded too). But even stock is fast as heck!

Hands down, go with the GO! Pick your ports 3,5 or 7, can't go wrong.

How hard are these Go Techs, on tuning? From what i have been reading on the Go Tech forum, it seems that they are kinda difficult to get a consistant tune. Is this the case or did i just happen to catch a bad part of the thread where one or two people were having slight issues with it?

If your use to running the n21 the GO 5 turbo is going to be what your looking for, it is very strong on the bottom but is easy to tame if you wish to do so, the mid isn't explosive so you don't have a brutal hit when your not ready for it, and tghe top it is all good, if your running buggy or truggy the 5 port as far as a .21 is my fav. Any good 086 will get you moving fast, and runtime is very good on the 5. The 7 port is suited to someone who prefers a linier powerband, it has strong bottom just not as much as the 5, the 7 is a little more sensitive to tune, and has insane top, runtime is a bit less. the 053 is the prefered pipe on this engine. The 3 port race is a star, it does have a powerband similar to the v spec in it's own right, but still a great buggy mill none the less, i run one now and am winning races with it, I'm very confident in all of them, i just really like the 5, it offers everything i could ask of it, the 3 port and 5 ports are easy to tune and hold it pretty consistantly, and longevity, they last, period just some info on the GO for ya.

You could probably pick up 2 Picco sports. My thinking is if you are going to spend $220 you may as well hold out ad save another 80 plus and get something serious.
i ran a Picco sport to test and was so impressed i now have another as a back up engine for just in case and smaller tracks where i want the runtime. I had 12 minutes out of a tank without really trying tuning wise, the only factor with a decent tune was my driving style which is pretty smooth with throttle.
Inside the Picco is the same as there more expensive 3 port engine, they produce good bottom end and only lose a little on the top. Unless you are running on big tracks with a huge straight you are going to lose half a second or so you shouldn't notice.
The money saved in production is on the outer materials, the head is still really good and nice looking. The carb has a blastic ball for the ball cup holder and that will snap unless end points are set carefully. They provide a spare and they are cheap if you get heavy handed again.
I kept up with drivers of my own ability with expensive mills such as O.S speeds and Nova's in a few finals no problem. For around $120 it's a great engine.
I have seen the Jammin in action and it is a sweet engine as mentioned earlier.
