Under full throttle car will intermittently steer hard left or exhibit a "stuck throttle" condition for a second or so. I had an extra new rx, loaded new firmware in the tx (gt3b) and got same results. I plan to try the radio on another car and try my spektrum rx/tx w the new car when the rain stops.

However after seeing this post i guess i should try adding a cap to the esc?

Thanks,

Joe

P.S. I chose the SP because i run an xerun 80 in my Nexx 8 and have had good results. I also had the lcd programming card and software on my PC
the problem is with your savox servo,,,it pulls too much power from the bec in the receiver,,,get a cap, plug it into an extra port on the receiver and your problems will go away. the caps cost about 5.00 each.

Here is the breakdown on running gear:-

Touring Car : Top CEFX Photon.
Motor: Viper 10.5T - Max timing at 45 Degrees.
Gearing: Tried 6.8 ratio up to 7.4
ESC: Speed Passion ProStock ( latest SP firmware Boost setting).

I run on a track with long straight.

ESC Setting:-
DDSR - lv 4
Start Boost RPM 6000
Boost Timing 40
Boost Acc 500
Turbo Timing 24
Turbo Slope 24
Turbo Delay 0.2s
Motor temp after 5min race pace is between 170-180F(even with 2 fans).
(Hot weather climate conditions - track temp goes up to 160F)

So, I am getting great acceleration out of corners and in-fields. Breaks are just nice.

The only thing lacking is the top end. What do you guys suggest to get more top end and maybe reduce motor temps. I don't mind sacrificing some bottom end for faster top end.

By the way i'm racing with tekins and hobbywing esc at my track. Some how the Tekins are just slicing past me or up my azz on the long straights.

Any suggestions is much appreciated.
try this set up

worked well for me

You meant adding a CAP to your receiver, right..? You better have a CAP on your ESC already or you are asking a blow up ESC very soon.

I haven't added any Caps to anything, are you suggesting the ESC requires an external Cap?

Thanks,

Joe

No...you WROTE that yourself, saying you are going to add a cap on your ESC....I think it is a typo, you meant you will add a cap onto your RECEIVER.

I used this for my 1/8th E-on road...works great.

Just ran my new stuff this weekend at Surf City Raceway. AWESOME stuff!
New 30* Sensor on a V3 1s 17.5 was flying on my GT10 car.
The new 323 SW was equally as Awesome in my 17.5 Expt. Stock race
ALso, in MOD Sedan, using the 323 SW i won with it against drivers running 4.5 and 5.5. I used an SP V3.0 13.5R motor with Silver/Red Rotor. Ill post set ups later.

Roar Regionals is this weekend..If i can get out there, i will run all three there as well.

Awesome dude....silver red, very interesting, please do share that...as I have only experience with silver purple. The silver RED seems like a very hot rotor for high speed..

Please share setup...and good luck at the ROAR Regional...who else is going there?

And stop hitting the gym and hit the track...........post more pics on FB please..

I'm interested in running a speed passion ESC and want to know which one is the top of the line model. I need something capable of running from stock spec to modified. I run a T3 11' car mostly 17.5 and now getting into modified.

Thanks Eric

Default HW=SP?

Hi there,

Is the HW Xerun 120A a re-badged SP GT 2.0?

Are they all from the same company? HW is a lower grade compared to SP?

Thanks.
