And about the car name... maybe something more neutral, as there will be a lot of folks running gray Copperheads which might be a bit confusing..
Ugis,

I've just built a grey copperhead for the Euros, looks sweet.

See you on Thursday

Jasonb and Uga
good luck for the Euros.

Canīt wait seeing pictures from the new (grey or copper) Copperhead cars.
I really hope they are using the same bodypost holes at the body.

The bodyposts are in the same location. My bodies dropped right on the new car.

Maybe, depends on the layout. If it's a drag strip 4 cell and the RR, if its tight (and Jim does have previous) then Lipo in the Copperhead.

Going to back to back them then make up my mind

Got my new car sorted and like JasonB will try it before deciding which to run at the Euros. Builds nice, and comes it at 720g all up.

I particularly like the new ball joints on the flex plates, but not that I have to have a new centre pivot! I also like that we are back to a sensible wheelbase, and good-practice positioning of the centre pivot - just the better positioning of the centre-shock to work on now Jason-BMI! Looking forward to hitting the track tomorrow.

Those that know will understand if, given that I fitted the CF bits to an RR and don't have the copper-coloured ally bits, I call mine a Greybeard! (Those that don't know me can probably guess why!!)

Pete,
How long did it take to convert ?

I should be picking mine up at the event and was thinking about building it one of the evenings to run.

What you guys will notice is that the suspension geometry has changed quite a bit. The center pivot has the mounting holes moved further forward over the RR and the flex plate length is longer. This was all to cater to the lighter weight with Li Po. It was a big advantage ove the conventional setup.

Alright, I've followed this thread for a LONG time, and now have gotten to a point where my end-of-year work bonus can be used as a bonus!

So I have to ask, when will we see some new pictures of the new car, with the new front end, and when will it all be available?

I haven't raced pan cars in a long time, but the time is ripe to jump back in to pans with a BMI 1/12th

I will have new pics up as soon as the aluminum parts come back from anodize. The new front end is not going to be completed for a little bit and it will be offered as an option part. I will post pics of that when it is complete.

Dam it Jim!! (star trek reference, Bones (Dr. McCoy) Waiting sucks! I think I liked it better when the internet didn't exist and I had no idea when a new car would be coming out unless I went a big race or the magazines put out an article.

The wheelbase changed? Did it get shorter?
