Mine weighed approximately 1640g with lightened steel outdrives in the front, RPM bumper, and plastic chassis, IB3600's a TC2 and a KO 2123 servo.
Didn't weigh it after I replaced lightened steel outdrives with the HD one way

just compare my tc4 to my old evo2....my evo2 i had to add 90 grams to get it bang on 1500....with tc4 im looking to shred around 90 grams...its crazy.

I agree on the weight issue...
A local guy beats everyone at our track with a stock XXX-S G+. I think having a TC with a wide center line weight distribution helps the car to transition left to right slower and helps you drive smoother. I think that could be helpful if your reflexes are slower. I also think more weight gives you more traction. I could be wrong, but thats my guess. That is why I push new people to get a XXX-S or a TC3. Only thing the XXX-S lacks is steering.

graphite kit is on my list...just need money for other things (ie motors and stuff)
i was looking at the BMI but got put off when i found out it didn't have the cutouts for the duct.....my stocks get VERY hot in the tc4 so i think the duct/fan kit is a must (since i started using it..it has helped a lot)...not modifieds or specs..just stock

BMI makes great products, but I have to say....
the TC4 chassis is not an improvement over the stock tub other than it's lighter and adds a bling factor. It flexes as much or more than the molded graphite one, but I think it flexes easier one way than the other. I hope BMI changes the TC4 over to the TC3 chassis they make. BMI TC3 chassis is much stiffer and consistant left to right by it's design. I think BMI just needs to change the motor mount on the BMI TC4 chassis to a BMI TC3 one, so that you can have an even cut upper deck. Personally, I would rather go back to the TC3 shock towers and wing chassis braces, but keep the steering rack and toe blocks. It would be nice to get the upper brace as low on the chassis you can. Just my two cents.
