Does anyone know of a chrome wheel in 24mm width? Tamiya has an 18 spoke chrome wheel in "medium narrow width". Does that mean 24mm?
YES, Tamiya "medium narrow width" = 24mm.

Got my TC6 fully up and running tonight. Still need to add weight but I'll get that figured out Wednesday when I can finally get to the track with it.

New to end bell timing but from what I've been reading with the Thunder Power motors a good starting point is 20* timing with a FDR at around 4.0, I'm at 3.7 right now. Wednesday will be shaking down the TC6 and getting used to the new speeds while checking temps every 3-4 minutes.

Looking forward to Wednesday.

Random thought I had driving this morning. Has any contacted a 3D printing facility about printing custom 24mm wheels with more offset?

There was a guy that tried a kickstarter style project for VTA wheels last year iirc. Didn't gain much headway. Biggest problem would be durability I would think.

@Ropes, do the doors open to show the hidden meanings of the livery like they did on TopGear?

There was a kickstarter project for VTA wheels with the steelies look to them. Andy Bailey made a prototype from a 3D printer, but it was never the intention to 3D print every one of them. The kickstarter project was to make the molds and put the wheels into production.

Ran my TC6 today. At first I wasn't sure if I made the right choise with the step up to USGT. After a few runs I was able to get the hang of the new speed and how much different the car feels compared to my TC3. By the end of practice I was having a blast with the TC6 and was able to put together a nice string of 10-10.6 second laps. Fast guys run in the 9.4-9.8 all day long.

I've yet to mess with the car really, timing on my motor is at 20* with a FDR of 3.7xx. I was debating about running both VTA and USGT this weekend but I think I will now that I had a complete blast and feel good enough with the TC6.

Before I thought I could never handle a USGT car, now I almost feel like I could run a 17.5 with some confidence.

Driving your USGT car will make driving VTA seem easier.

I noticed that almost instantly. I ran about 30 minutes just with the GT car and when I finally drove my VTA ride it felt almost too easy. Grip was much higher, I was able to put the car anywhere I wanted in the corners, and I felt much more relaxed with it.

Unfortunately my racing will be effected in the near future. I just accepted a 10am-9 job but it's 40+ hours at $14/hr. I couldn't turn it down! I'll at least be able to get out and practice on 1 of my 3 days off during the week.

Anyway, I'll be running both classes this weekend. Not sure when I'll get to race again with the new job.
