Maybe I can start kicking some Losi 3.0 laydown chassis guys. LOL
This should help some in 17.5t stock.
Going to try 66/33 and add a fan.

Is there an alternative to the Phillips screw to keep the hinge pins on the arm?

Yes agreed I've been racing Yokomo cars for over 25 years and to me they have always been on the leading edge of design and quality, going back to my original YZ-10. I personally have had some durability issues with my YZ4 particularly with the front arms, (I also hit a lot of stuff at HIGH speeds!!!!) but really only that. I've boiled them and that seems to have solved the issue. I had absolutely no issues with my B max4 or either of my YZ2's

I race with MadMikePags weekly. Although he claims the YZ4 arms break, believe me it's under spectacular stress. Pags is full strapped and pushes the car to the limits. My experience with the YZ4 has been fantastic. IMO, if you break a Yok arm you would have broken an arm using any other brand. Can't wait to finished my YZ2DT chassis. Pags and I are the only two drivers running Yoks on a dirt track in our area and we're always in the top finishing spots. If it wasn't for the lack of local support, many more would run Yok.

Last weekend my son raced the DT on wet astro: this car is just ballistic on wet astro and according to me the new standard for 2WD wet astro racing! It's even faster than my old plastic chassis Bmax2 on wet astro, which says a lot!
We also ran it on hard packed, medium grip, bumpy, clay: again brilliant!
Concerning the CA version: as for now we haven't been able to run it on carpet, but we did race it on dry astro a couple of times. It's good, but not as sharp as the old 4 gear. It's easier to drive, but IMO not faster. Don't get me wrong, it's a great car, and if you never raced the 'old' yz-2 you won't miss a thing, but it generates just a tad less grip . After a full day of back to back testing with 2 cars on astro(3 gear vs 4 gear) I went back to the 'old' 4 gear for astrotruf. To me the 3 gear is a very sharp kitchen knife whereas the old 4 gear is just like a scalpel!

Ive got the old yz2 4 gear that i race in 17.5 on high bite clay. I havnt raced in a year. I loved the car but wanted just a little more forward bite. Will the 3 gear give me that extra forward bite?
I drove my buddies dt tonight. Had great grip but didnt quite have the corner speed im used to.
