Try gearing it like normal (23-24ish/80 on an 8.5) to take advantage of a smoother power delivery and I'd bet it doesn't run warmer either. Even on the smallest track I run on, I use a 7.5 geared at 22/77 and it rarely goes much over room temperature.
Thank you sir

So a Viper 9.5t 3600kv I should be around 23 24 with the 80 spur

But it felt so good Mark LOL I will change things around thanx

One guy is running a 10.5t and is running great.

22/78 tekin 10.5t 4550kv
final ratio 9.22

Maybe I need to pick up a 10.5t lol

Thanx sir

Yes, I would gear up and use more range of your throttle and there's nothing wrong with running a 9.5-10.5 on a dirt track of that size. Before one of our old dirt tracks started sweeping and saucing traction up to an asphalt like level in the groove, I regularly used a 10.5 in a mod class there. Driveability is what makes one competitive in that environment.

I have been doing a bit of back to back testing with this car and my trusty b5m lite. The b5m feels lazy after some time with the yok. The yok is so responsive that it feels like it is on a different level. I run my steeri,g at full travel and 100% speed on my b5m, but have the speed turned down to 80% On the yok and it still is more responsive. When I get it right the yok is definitely rewarding, but the b5m is easier to drive fast. Of course this is all based on my moderate (at best) skills.

depends where you want weight and how much weight Shorty allows you to make changes in position.. the other two are essentially the same, they just take up the entire space and add weight (which at times maybe what you want). If you buy 1 pack id get the shorty, if you can get two have both :P

Sorry if it's already in here but it's a lively thread so could take awhile to find it. Does anybody know if the Schelle B5M chassis protector would fit the YZ2. The YZ is a narrow based chassis so I'm not sure with some trimming if it should fit?

It fits, need some trimming on the back sides and some parts on the front are not protected but was efficient for me to keep my chassis clean

Amain sells two different Protek chassis protectors for the YZ-2.

Sadly Amain take 31 years to ship to Sydney. So I'll pass on Amain.
But I'll give this Schelle one a try

You get more steering and have a more unbound rear with the shocks on the front of the rear arm, you get more rear grip or, in other words, a more "plush" feel with them on the back. If the bite is high on carpet/turf, lap times will generally be faster with them on the front as they let the car rotate quicker even if the car "feels" better with them on the rear.
