There isn't a whole lotta material holding that wheel on there.
A very neat design though indeed, now all they needed to do was to make it lipo/brushless optimised, like, by making the heavy stuff go down the centerline of the chassis.

Optimisation...
This concept is not so simple . One characteristic optimisation leads to deterioration of others very often...
'lipo optimisation' - What is it for you?
Easy lipo installation without any additional aftermarket adaptors and tools?
True lateral and longitudinal weight balance without additional lead weights?
Minimum influence of the lipo case on the frame flex?
Space sufficient for installation of all todays ROAR, EFRA, BRCA legal lipos?
Possibility to use lipo saddle packs even?
All these features are in this car.
Cars with central battery placing can win a bit smaller moment of inertia concerning a longitudinal axis only.
But it is true for all batteries types, not lipo only.
Therefore it is not 'lipo optimisation'.

We all have been seeing that touring car design has matured...many manufacturers have even said there isn't much more they can do with current car design. What I really like about this car is that there is some real innovation put into this car. I hope when the car is available it has good distribution in the US. I hope this car works well.
When will this car be ready for production?

It is a torsion style suspension. Just using a banjo syle flat spring with in the dampening pot and transfering the spring force via a torsion rod to the arm.

I don't know, even Xray's solder is "optimized".

I'm buying one the moment it comes out, if I can afford it.

Wasnt there an article on the XRay site about this car at two events and they dominated both events?
Damper looks interesting.

The testing done with this car so far sounds very good, I hope it continues that way for you with experiments to setup changes.
You possibly have a lot to learn about the suspension as it's not a typical damper design, which in itself is nothing bad, just very innovative in my eyes

Let's just hope the car works well on carpet. The Robitronic AVID I have (now for sale cheap with extra parts) works better for asphalt than it does for carpet.
This car looks a bit stiff for carpet, given what I see so far in the pictures. Has this car been raced on carpet or is it strictly assphalt?
