Yes i use lighter fluid. I guess what i should be asking is how can i free the rear up or get more steering? Will using harder damper tube fluid give more steering and how about harder tweak springs? Thanks for the help guys

What's your battery position? If you're not all the way back try moving it back some.

Go up in center shock spring one rate, and run a bit thicker shock oil. That should get you a bit more steering, especially if the car is tight from the center of the corner on out.

Stiffer side springs and more tube damping may help, but that would be my second step.

Yup, battery all the way back. I wanted to try the harder center spring this weekend but left them at home with my touring car stuff (losi).
Im running 30wt losi and a 20lb spring now. Is going harder still ok?

I'd try a 25lb spring and 35 wt. oil. That should keep the car from dumping weight to the rear as hard when you get back on power.

Does anyone know if a low profile TC servo such as a Futaba 9550 will fit the CRC Gen-X 10? Or will I be needing a 1/12 servo like a Futaba 9602?

I couldn't find a 1/10 servo small enough to fit. The 1/12 servos fit perfect.

I use a wide BLS 451 servo on one of my Gen X 10. Instead of using the normal Servo mount mounting screw, on the right side, I use the servo plate mounting screw direct into the servo mount (the angle red aluminum part). You lose side to side adjustability but the servo saver is well centered. I use the half height Hitec 2431 the same way. It is off center but only the tiniest bit. Not enough to notice on the track. So yes.

Does anyone know if someone makes a conversion kit to convert a Gen XL 1/12 to the Gen XL 1/10 car. I want to convert my 1/12 car to wgt. I see there is a 1S Lipo chassis but I wanted a complete kit.

There is no kit to convert a 1/12 to 1/10 Gen X 10. These are the parts you need. Gen X 10 axle, left hub, right hub, X brace, Top plate, Bottom plage, Gen X 10 chassis, new minimized left side hub if you are not equipped with that, longer 1/10 kingpins. Longer 1/10 steering arms, Battery Top plate, Battery side mounts, metal 4-40 inserts for side mounts, four hex standoffs long and mounting screws. battery tray set, new center pivot molded Plastics, longer front and rear body posts, front bumper, Servo mount plate and screws, Rear Hourglass standoffs (4), Rear Side Plates, Long side damper set. however it is probably cheaper to buy a new kit at Stormer. Heck of a good price there.

John's setup above is what he uses for 2S. Totally different animal in my book. Sorry John.

Ask Scotty Barnes for his X-10 setup at Speedworld. Should be close to mine.

Place your ESC on the left side...Not behind the battery pack...You need weight transfer from side-to-side when on SW's asphalt. My 1S pack is about 1/2" from the front of the tray.

And if you come to the Asphalt Nats at NorCal in August, the CRC team will likely have some setup beyond your expectations. Like they did for me for the carpet at the 2009 IIC.
