I built a back up diff and installed it sat but the 1st diff felt smoother so put it back in. Laps times improved every round so didnt want to risk toying around with breaking in diffs or readjusting tightness.

Rebuilding ball diffs is a double edged sword. I only do it when the thrusts get notchy/dry... maybe a little laziness on my part but sedan racing, for me, is just a diversion haha.

I've never rebuilt any of my balls diffs because of wear, since 2005... Tightening and loosening is all I do, but the aluminum outdrives might be the reason why the diff parts are not overheating and breaking....

The steel plates might rust a bit, but the ceramic balls he no doubt uses should last.

You can do that if you are running 21.5, 17.5 or 13.5 blinky, but with more powerful motors, you can hope for your diff to complete a race without maintenance...

Airwave, I got my tc4 mod car(3.5t) built in 2005 before my 17.5..... The outdrives got notchy, but that's it.....
After 400 years, no punishment is too great for BERT .....lol....

Desert, hopefully your tc4 with tc6.1 swaybars will perform better than the pro4 here.... Finally you have your own tc4 mod now, and hopefully nobody will try to steal it from you like they tried to steal the lcd mod(& other mods) from me... Congrats...

People didn't 'steal' the LCD mod from you. They were doing it before you even created an account on rctech, and even then you were going around telling people they should do it too. It's not stealing if you're giving it freely.
