Hi,
I was just checking Hara's RROC setup from 25 May 2008 and noticed that the rear hub spacers are F=1.0 and R=0.7. Is this a typo ??
Normally, 2.0 & 0.5, 2.0 & 0.7, or 2.0 and 1.0 (depending on slop).
Maybe Hara was using a different hub ??
Cheers

Friends, may I please pass a basic setup for a track with medium grip and slightly irregular?
My car is a CYCLONE S with all the ups possible.
Thx.

1.5mm spacers on all inner camber links in their longest positions.
1.5mm spacer under all roll center blocks.
gold springs in front w/ 40wt oil
silver springs in rear w/ 40wt oil
shocks in middle holes rear
shocks in outer lower holes and middle holes in upper position.
Droop 3mm front and rear
5mm ride height.
It will have a good neutral feeling, If it pushes and will not turn lower the roll center spacers to 1mm and test again.
Good luck!

HI,
Can any one tell me if the Pro4/Cyclone wishbones have the same geometry as the TC ones?
And what's likely to happen if I change to the TC arms in terms of handling?
cheers,

5 lower shock mounting positions rear -flipable arms
4 lower shock mounting positions front- flipable arms
hpi 73506 cyclone/ cyclone tc. cyclone s arms
2 lower shock mounting locations front-non flipable
3 lower shock mounting positions rear- non flipable
this is just from observation through pictures on A-main hobbies website.
The newer arms give you more choices of lower dampening rates since the holes are offset from one side to another.
I actually use the Pro 4 high traction arms which are the same as the cyclone s I think.. they dont have the mounting points of the newer ones but I nearly use the same holes all the time anyway. They are also stronger in my opinion especially the graphit ones.. I used the break the TC ones all the time.. Also the h/traction arms seem to flex a little which helps with traction..

cheers for the info, for some reason I thought the older arms had a bit of sweep- so shortened the wheel base.

I would go with the "famed" 1.5mm setup.
1.5mm spacers on all inner camber links in their longest positions.
1.5mm spacer under all roll center blocks.
gold springs in front w/ 40wt oil
silver springs in rear w/ 40wt oil
shocks in middle holes rear
shocks in outer lower holes and middle holes in upper position.
Droop 3mm front and rear
5mm ride height.
It will have a good neutral feeling, If it pushes and will not turn lower the roll center spacers to 1mm and test again.

Just ran the car with the front end modification to the hinge pin blocks (widens the front end). It really smoothed out the car and made it hold corner speed well!

Could you not just acheive that by fitting a 1 degree or 2 degree block on the rear of the front hingepins? No drilling required?
