Any other manufacturers outdrives compatible with the HB spool? I'm looking for outdrives that allow for the use of blades.

Thanks

Don't the steel out drives allow the use of blades?

nope the POM and steel spool outdrives are perfect fit with the 2mm axle pins up front. You can run the HB gear diff up front if you want to use blades also.

On my older TCX I was using Spec R gear diffs with blades, and I can use the ver.1 hb dcj that had bigger axle pins.

What's the difference between the Ver.1 and Ver.2 DCJ? I thought it was just the pin size that was different. Price for the Ver.2 is $45 each!!!

Really? They look identical to each other and I can't find it listed anywhere that they are rebuildable. Do you have a set of Ver.2 that you have rebuilt recently?

Thanks

I run the tamiya shafts, but when I was comparing before, that was the info I found out about the hb parts. I also heard that the tamiya shafts were more durable. I also have a set of spec r shafts in my other car that are well made.

I've never seen DCJs from any manufacturer to be rebuild able. I believe the difference are in the pin size. I have the old ones and I beleive I spent around $30 each which I already thought was pricey...

The tamiya dcj's I'm using are rebuildable. There are clips that hold the pins in.

In looking at my hb shafts in the other car, it appears they are Not rebuildable like I was told. I really never looked at them closely.

So, I would purchase more tamiya shafts or the rsd shafts from reflex racing.

So your tcxx is a bad kit and inconsistent because there was no bearings in the steering rack. Is that what you're saying?
