These pins work very well and seem to eliminate some slop at the same time creating a more secure driveshaft.

The top pin retainers free the uni's right up because the pin is able to rotate. This gave me more steering

For people like me that change shocks and springs all the time, the new style of ball joints the dampers mount on are awesome! On my old 416 I had replaced the standard joints with the hex headed ones, but after a while they strip the arms. I had considered using the shock top and ends from TOP or XRAY shocks to make this happen but if tamiya are going to offer the ball joints in the same size as the current ones then that would be a much easier solution
When I asked Kiyo about them at the Worlds he said "just prototype" but I would imagine they will be released sometime...

Those TOP CVD pin sleeves are the way to go, they work extremely well. CVD rebuilds are so much nicer now.

for those who are interested...

i managed to fit top photon gear diff into my 416x, the gear diff itself is a direct fit with the bulkheads. you need to drill extra holes in the pulley though.

price is cheaper (if i'm not mistaken about half the price of specR gear diff) and it works great. the only thing is that it has red outdrives haha...

we have to use one-way/spool pulley with the gear diff. tamiya uses 3 screws to secure the pulley to the one-way/spool unit, while the photon geardiff uses 4 screws, hence the different holes alignment

What class are you running the gear diff in? I hear it doesn't hold up too well in mod.
