I think I overdid the pink joking with my girlfriend and learning control of an airbrush. Maybe I should put a Kotex logo on the front doors.

Here's my solution to a transponder mount. Haven't tried it yet but quietly confident.

Are the suspension blocks interchangeable with Tamiya trf series or the serpent
s411.
How are the dampers?

Probably not. The xi dh is a new release and the f113 is in the works so 3racing is probably pretty busy right now. Same thing happened when the xi was a new release. The s parts seem to go in cycles. I remember when the bulkheads and covers couldn't be found a few months ago. I think there is just such a demand for the parts that 3racing gets behind sometimes.

To the guys running at 21.5's in 64 pitch. What gear combo is working for you?
The car has the 19t center sprocket to loosen the belts so the puts me at 2.0
Im running a 90 spur and a 49 pinion came off track at 220°! Knocked pinion down
to 45 and came off at 200°!! With a heatsink only no fan.Must tell you this is a used motor a internet purchase. Zero is in vta class this what they're running at this one track i go to. I know it should be a 25.5 class.
What you do ya think? P.o.s Ballistic ? Or total gear change

I run 88 spur with a 46 pinion. Not too far off of your gear. I come off at 140 with a twin fan. 168 when the fan comes unplugged.

Check for binding in the drive train. If all is loose try to figure out if you have any tire slip. Even a very small amount of breaking traction can heat up a motor. I dropped 30 degrees by eliminating a very small amount of slip.

Ok i know i had tire slip, rear end was all over the place and had a push in the front.' new tires' .
Baffled me because I'm running the same fd numbers on a car with a 25.5 but that has older softer tires makes sense thank you 6376vette!

Default Mod Touring

I read many posts in this thread.....just do not seem to find to much info or feedback from guys trying the S platform in Pro-mod??

I see Steve M's must have list of upgrades but putting a 3.5 or 4.5 indoor carpet....anything else become MUST HAVE?

Thanks for all the posts and information on this thread and any advice

Mate...you are doing well to get 220 out of a Ballistic, I seemed to be able to melt the POS just by facing them towards the sun,, go to a different flavour and your life will become much more pleasant,,,,worked for me and will never go near that brand again...

I never had trouble out of the ballistic. 21.5 or 25.5. I have heard stories about them though. My ballistic 21.5 seems to have the same power as my revtech 21.5 but my reedy sonic seems to have just a touch more than either of them. I guess its all on the particular motor. The only one that has failed me has been 2 speed passion 17.5 motors. I won't use another one.

In USGT I'm running 48/96 64p with an Epic 21.5 with only a heat sink (no fan) and coming off in the 120/130 range.

In VTA I'm running 49/93 64p with a Ballastic 25.5 with only a heat sink (no fan) and coming off in the 130/140 range.

You've got to have something binding somewhere to be generating all that heat.

I run a 21.5 ballistic in VTA with a FDR of 4.2 It comes off at 160. If I turn up the timing 1 notch higher if comes off at 180+. The ballistic is very sensitive with timing, plus you are geared way higher than I am. With a 21.5 Duo3 I was running the same gearing with the timing maxed and coming off at 140. Also if you got the temp 220F on the can, it was even hotter inside. After that it does not matter what you do it will be hot. You had a FDR at 3.6 pretty sure it cooked.

I got more to the story out of the shipping box the 21.5 ballistic's timing was cranked to 45°! Of coarse i backed it down how ever this is never a good sign when buying used novak equipment. Tried to save a buck and took it in the "blank". With all your suggestions i will totally regear and make the call on the motor after that. I do agree its cooked. Back to the 25.5 and get it ready for Nashville. Thanks guys! Sam.

I just finished reading the who thread and there is some great information on this car. I'm looking at getting one but my wife is not wanting me to spend more than $100 and I still have to get electronics. We will see what happens.

Wish you well with your setups.
