Looks like. It really s a nicely made piece. Suppose I'll have to order some bits from RJSpeed to get it back to stock. Also going to see if I can wrap the tires in rubber to make them "legal". (...also got a spare, slightly cracked set.) Could be a hoot as a silver can GT car.

I have a few videos - Not in great shape. 1984 Futaba Grand Prix in Costa Mesa. 1985 IFMAR Worlds Mod A Main (won by Gil Losi ) , A 1985 Region six Champ race at SRS in Scottsdale Arizona. Quite a few still pictures from 1974-76 , Briggs Cunningham track , San Jose Rams Club and from Phoenix. A picture or two of John Thorp, Joe Sullivan (major RC distributor at the time) Gary Grossenbacher. Bruce Fields (inventor of the Scorpion 1/8th Pan car - first Pan car with a radio tray - everyone else was running radio boxes at the time.

Bob, are you still interested in some R/C History? I have loads to contribute, from the late 60's to the early 70's.

Love this thread almost ruined two loads of concrete reading all the posts. don't have a lot of history to add but this has brought back a lot of childhood memories. I grew up around the rc tracks in Az since the mid 80's. Some of my greatest memories involve rc. I still miss it and keep kicking around the idea of racing again. Hey j.bee I'm interested in the rc history, even if i may of heard it before. It never gets old I can read it over and over again.
