My old TB02 had its VTA debut last night and did rather well placing 3rd over all. It needs a little tweak here or there but nothing major. Really surprised at how well she held her own and how well it handled on the VTA spec tires and the Boss 302 Mustang body I put on her.

Just picked up a Yokomo SD LCG. I have been testing the last week or so and my times and handling are improving. Trying to get the car set up for carpet racing. I have gotten alot of help with the car from passed Yokomo Team Drivers and guys who use to have this car about 10 years ago.

Selling my Yokomo SD SSG with extras
I have a Yokomo SD SSG, SD9, CGM conversion. You get all parts to make itether SSG or SD9 AKA CGM conversion kit. Almost enough parts to make 2 seperate cars. Yokomo just rereleased the Yokomo SD as the SD9, so all parts will be available for SD9 AKA CGM. Graphite CGM chassis must be milled to accept lipo packs. There are also a few Hop ups like the Aluminnum motor mount for the CGM chassis. Asking for $160 shipped for Rolling chassis SSG, 2 CGM chassis, and all parts left over from build. Also I forgot to mention you will get 6 different GT bodies.

After applauding everyone else on keeping the old dogs alive, I can finally add to the conversation.
My driver figure is on its way, but here is my nearly completed VTA runner. A TA03R TRF with the additions of rare Trinity purple hub carriers and Novak brushless power.
I am slowly completing a few Tamiya old schoolers that I cannot wait to share
SO, KEEP THIS THREAD ALIVE FELLAS!

I haven't had the chance yet, unfortunately. My 5 month old son has me wrapped around his finger, so needless to say I haven't seen a track in a while.
But when I could put some practice laps in, the car could definitely keep up with the other cars running. I am no where near the best driver in the world, so the durability has also been tested thoroughly. lol
I will also say that I was running an old Reedy Rage brushed motor and some old 3000 mAh batteries at the time, late last year, so that should also tell you something

This is a cool thread, makes me wish I didn't sell my tl01, or street weapon, or tc3 all those years ago ;-)
