Hey guys,
Just picked up and built my first 1/12 car, the RC12R5.1. Ive got experience in TC and was wondering if someone can explain to me how to:
A) Properly mount the electronics in a balanced manner. (I have some XRAY balancing posts if that helps) Should I mount it just like I do in TC? Basically I try to achieve a balance side-to-side on a flat surface.
and...
B) Set ride height, droop, and tweak with this pan-car. I see that the center shock has a collar, but am unsure about how that relates to the setting of the rest of the car. The set-screws on top of the side springs obviously set tweak, right?
Also, when I threaded those set-screws into the carbon fiber rear brace, i noticed that one side didn't quite thread in perfectly straight. Its at an ever-so-slight angle. Is that going to be a problem?? Hopefully not, or i'll need a new crossbrace...

Welcome to the 1/12 world! Check out this site: http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/asso...tedRC12R5.html
On the Carbon brace area. Yes mind is at a slight angle too. I haven't had any handling issue with it.

it saddle pack just might fit, but it would be illegal. in general the class races with a sensored motor and 4 cell (4.8v nominal) which is getting replaced very quickly by 1s lipo (3.7v nominal)

I dont think the 12R5.1 needs a saddle pack, or would most 2S be too tall to fit under the shock.
