What are you using for the aluminum hex wheels adapters? I see losi offers 3 different thickness ones for the JRSX, but is the axle diameter the same on the type R?

Sorry, I ment to say metric ones that are aluminum that can be used with premount tires such as takeoff's. Tried all the major losi parts places, speedtech, stormer, losi parts, ebay...noone has the 9686.

What did you guys notice when you removed the "JR" link and went to a standard ballstud on the caster block?

I am 98% sure the Hobby Town in Memphis has either 1 or 2 pairs of them on the shelf. If your in a bind give them a call.

Thanks guys, just went with the 9687's. there only .030 thicker. They will be fine for club racing. I hate taking off the wheel and digging the hex out, and the pin rolling off the table...you get the idea. I thought the Type R was shy of 190mm anyway.

Ditto!!! The JR. link should keep the front end flatter than the standard link. You really need to try it both ways because so many like one over the other and it normally comes down to your prefference.

i love it i ll never go back to the ball stud!! just have to install a turnbuckle in the jr link to have easier adjustment for camber

I ran Todd's '06 nats set-up today and it was Wonderfull!!! The only changes I made was to go to 6 deg. front blocks for more high speed steering around our sweeper and to 12.5 rear springs. We made a goof and our track was sprayed with a mixture of old nitro fuel and VHT. The track was a slick mess for the first two rounds of quali. but was really good for the mains. Last year we were cutting the VHT with Methanol and it was very sticky. Ya live and ya learn I guess. LOL We race on a med to high bite out door parking lot and I had always loved the 6 deg. blocks in the old car and after today I will be running them for the most part in my Type-R. Pick up a set and give them a shot for yourself. One more thing........I don't know how I got away with it but I didn't break a single arm all day! Now my other buddies broke several of the original kit arms but after Ryan put on his new set he actually went out and broke a C hub in the third qualifier. So the answer is that the kits arms are weak but the newest replacements are much much better. Once we all get the new ones this will be a dead issue.

I love it as well!!! On my Jr. link I threaded the hex end from the outside in towards the ball end. This way if I need to adjust all I have to do is unscrew the top screw out of the C hub and I can use my .050 wrench to screw the set screw in or out. So far the best part is that after I set it to -1 deg. it has not moved even after several collisions.
