So like me you end up with a lot of overhang at the back of the car?

I'm not sure if it is alot but here is a Mazda 6 body with the wheels in the center of the front wheel well. Maybe this will help you out.

With the front wheels centered we do not get unusual overhang. The Mi2EC with the same wheel base as most other sedans.

Teemu and a few other teams drivers would often mount their bodies 4-5mm forward for more steering.

okay I have the mi2ec and would like to know if I take out the riser plates. Should I take out the shimes from under the diff houses? what effect would it cause if I just lowored the rear a-arms and not the diff house?

Taking out the risers under the diff houses will yield more overall traction to what ever end of the car you removed the risers from. Lowering the rear a arms will allow the rear of the car to roll over in the corners a little more and also produce a little more rear traction but you don't want it to roll over excessively. Try each one during practice to see what it does for you on the track.

I know I run Adrians setup on my touring car almost exactly like he has his and overall it has been an excellent setup for asphalt rubber tires. I know I have the riser plate in the rear and no riser in the front of the car. His setup seems to steer pretty well and is a little aggressive in stock and just about perfect for 19T at my track. Great starting setup to mess with.
