Me thnk issa ugglllyyy.

More importantly is that it probably just won't work.
The setup will be hard to get it fast.
The Jrxs also had a similar weight distribution and it just didn't cut it.....

The JRXS also had shitty little arms and top links. It didnt have the famous Tamiya suspension.

Its a far cry from a JRXS

The arms are one point they indeed do differ. I agree with you Besercoe.
Take the HPI Pro 3 as well. It blew. Again similar chassis layout.
There is to litlle chassis dynamics because too litlle weight can be worked with.

HPi and Losi, 2 huge manufacturers, especially at the time of the release of the Pro3 and the Jrxs. Somehow this type of design doesn't work out in the end.
We'll see what happens.

It's a very unusual design, yes.

If Tamiya have done their homework and it's been well tested (I see no reason why they would not test the chassis!) then I guess ugly and results can be used in the same sentance...

You cant re-invent the wheel, but I guess you can make it look different

interesting design.. could it be another 'fun' platform to compliment the FF03? RWD chassis opportunity?

I kinda like this design I just wish the way Tamiya made an M chassis RWD(M06 Pro) to compete along side the FWD(M03-05 Pro) they would've made a 1/10 RWD to put in a class with the FF03 . Just my 2 cents. I guess I'll put a hold on my TA-05 v2r purchase to see it come out and see what is the pros and cons are....

along the same lines im thinking.. looking at the pics, i would guess just by removing the FrontDrive half (belts, pulles, diff, halfshafts) you could possibly have a RWD Mid-Motor rocket.. (similar to the M04)..

this could be a two-in-one

I don't know... looks like a plastic TM E4 with inboard front suspension. Looks heavy too.

JRXS=bad
JRXS Type R = never got a chance. Losi gave up on on road, but that car was a stone killer. Multiple different drivers, on different types of tires (foam, rubber), and they were all fast with it. I am not talking about Losi sponsored drivers, either, just very good local drivers.

from the looks of it, it seems like it uses a gear tranny for the rear. I'm assuming it is the same one from the FF03. So a gear drive rear and two belt front... I wonder it there will be any lag between the front and rear output response.

Looks like there are 3 pegs on top of the front bulkhead to attach a shock tower.
