Mounted a fan in my d413 today, Got a big race coming up this weekend and i might need to squeeze more out of my 10.5 setup. I mounted it with one screw right to the motor plate mount. Its rock solid. Hopefully the non factory bodies allow more room to move the fan over in the future. Here are a few pics.

WOW, wish i knew that before I purchased this, thanks YZ racer

It's funny the only motor found that fit in saddle pack config are made by HB. Better to go shorty setup anyway, car handles so much nicer

Youve tried both set ups? Please explain. I would think saddle packs add more balance in the chassis. Please sell me on why I should reconfigure and buy new batteries? Im ready to take my new servo out and sell it.

Anyone have any luck with Avid Chassis or Schelle stretch chassis??

Thanks, Im gonna have to shave the post slightly, remove it then install the motor. Once its in ill try and reinstall the post. hope it works. Im curious to see handling and lap time differences between both set ups

A shorty pack weighs about the same as a motor, and a servo weighs about the same as an ESC, and receivers are usually very light. The saddle pack thing was really to conform to a rule that is no longer enforced. You just spent a bunch of money on a new kit, spend the $40 for the right battery.

Look at the way the car is layed out, and use your brain. It's obvious that the car will be way more balanced with a shorty pack. With saddles you have equal battery weight on both sides, but the motor and ESC in the front right are going to weigh a lot more than a servo and receiver.
