Finally got a chance to run my copperhead with the new front end at the Gate last week. I ran the setup that Jason posted a few pages ago for high bite and the car was great all day. Wish I could say the same about my driving, but I guess not running since March will do that. I was on a TQ run untill I blew out late in one qual. (had to do a little durability testing on the front end, it passed with flying colors) and I ended up second in the main even with the lousy driving. It was really cool being able to play with the ride height and droop without fiddleing with shims as well as playing with all the other new adjustments. As Jason said earlier the tire wear is amazing. I ran tires that had a couple runs on them from last year, put 4 practice runs, 3 quals, and the main on them and they are still runable. Over all, love the new car with the front end and it's only going to get better as we get more time on it.

Had a great day of running with the car today. I took TQ but finished 2nd in the main. My nerves got to me. The car was absolutely amazing. I went with 3mm of shims under the hinge pin block this time. I had to run more static camber but the car really rolls through the corner fast. I was very pleased. I will post my new setup shortly. It wasnt much different other than the hinge pin block shims and increased static camber.

I may have missed it, but what kind of shims are you using? Will you be selling a shim kit as well?
Should be ordering my new front end next week.

Sounds good.
Just standard 3mm ID shims for the time being?
Will you have a tuning guide ready in about 2 weeks? [when I'm due to get back home and can start testing again ]

I just want to make sure that I'm understanding you correctly.
Thanks

i have been setting up a new front end and was trying to get the servo position right. you showed your servo near the top of the posts.
but for me to get the turnbuckles parallel to the lower arm (with 3mm ride height and 1.65" front tires) and zero bumpsteer it looks like i want to move the servo down to at least the second hole.
does this seem reasonable, or am i off somewhere else?

I got good run today with new front end. I got TQ with winning all 3 heats and got 2nd in final, beaten by another CH12 with NFE. Front tire wear was amazing! Less than 1mm after 4 runs in mod.
avs, you might be using different servo or servo saver. I got Futaba 9650 and Kimbrough small Futaba servo saver (white), and have to use top hole on servo mount.
Also you may be using different hole position to mount ball stud on servo saver. Mine is in middle.

So you are using the two standard stand offs and then a 3mm shim on top of those and then the hinge pin brace to raise the upper arms? When you say hinge pin block, you're talking about the copper piece?
