Have you got the Flying Fox Layshaft? If so, then use a smaller spur. If not, order one now!

Well..... I'm back!
I was forced to stay awya form my Losi (and all related upgrade project) for job reason, but now the new season is approaching and I'll do my best to race as mcuh as possibile.
We will have a new class (for us...) using 13.5 motor (single brand, Lipotech).
I need all the ideas and suggestions from you 13.5 guys (I was 4.5 before...)
I gearing should be in the 4-5ish area. Will be worth use the 41 gears inestad of the 42 in the diff? Just to avoid pinions big as frying pans...

Just finished rebuilding my 2x Type Rs after a total strip down. I machined the rear motor bulkheads to accept the new IP5000 40C/50C packs. Took about 0.75-1mm off the side and the top. On assembling the top deck and screwing it down onto the rear bulkheads, you will need to use a #4 washer to space the screw up so it wouldn't get in contact with the LiPo. Have a look see and you will know what I am talking about.

Carpet Help
I need a carpet setup sheet for rubber tires. I have three cars and I want to leave one with my current setup and try two different setups on the other two cars. Track will be minreg then snowbirds. Tires will be zenons and jaco blue. LTC-R body. 17.5 and 13.5 TC
Also I have a couple new Black Diamonds and one new Tekin RS speedo's to try. Any advise on gearing and profiles would help. Thanks

Well...the idea to use those 41, was due the fact I'm having a bunch of them laying here and there, with no use....
I saw some guy here using the 41 in the 10.5 class...
It's completely meaninless? I've no experience at all with 13.5...

I thought I might post up something I was just playing with. Just rebuilding my diffs and noticed that the spring doesn't seem to sit very flat. I tried changing it out to a TC5 spring that I had on hand but ran into a problem with it being to small to fit the diff tube. So flipped the thrust and spring around and WOW! Diff was so much smoother than before! I rebuilt another diff and tried it with the losi and TC5 springs configured in the same way but the TC5 spring is soooooooo much better. Might be worth playing with guys...

I'm lucky that my brother also has the losi. He can run 41's for stock, and I can run 42's for mod. That way they get used.
