Nice, the body looks really good, will get one as soon as it come out on its own. Though I'm kinda surprised everyone went with the red scheme. I'm gonna paint mine white with some CF stickers.

Super newbie on playing RC, and would love to try a yellow scheme(original plan). I dont know, someone guided my hand to get the bright red tamiya paint. Just tried the 27T pinion and it fits 98.5% well over a 70T spur. =) maybe a -1 FDR would make a lil difference

ok so i have run about 20 packs through my tt-02. stripped the gears in the rear end of the car, as well as melted pretty much all the plastic bearings. $20 later i have a full ceramic bearings and new gears. i learned just for testing purposes that tamiya tt-01 gears work or at least the pinion for the rear diff works. just realized it but the battery tray is now lipo friendly as you can put pretty much standard 2s lipo pack in the tray.

TT02 stock with 70T spur and 26T pinion is a bit faster than a 55T with 27T tt01. Not sure if the ferrari aero is good compared to VW Golf. Overall happy with the purchase. not so much vibration eventhough the shaft is plastic.

the TB-03 is nice but the TT-02 was a decent buy mostly because it was $115 so thats a plus lol but with the TT's i can run it without being my usual self and be scared to crash lol plus i half the time i enjoy the building more then the driving (since dont too much time to drive anyways)

Gear mesh could be a bit tight. You should keep an eye on it.
27/55 in an TT01 is the ratio 5,41 and much faster regarding topspeed. If your TT02 is faster in this constellation, then your TT01 is broke.
You should check the drivetrain for drag or worn bearings...

26/70 in the TT02 is not a recommended combo by the manual. Ratio is 7,00.

Anyone knows where I could find the manual online?
I usually can find all the Tamiya-manuals as pdf documents on the US- and the Japanese Tamiya-site... But not the one from the TT-02??

I wouldn't fit a 26t in, the mesh would be too tight.
I took my stock TT01 to my club for a race instead of my 417.. I was impressed with the stock set-up and the car is much more nimble than the TT01.

Ill be installing TRF dampers soon. But for now, red springs at the back and blue one at the front.
