Does anyone still run a trackstar system? not seeing much from searching the thread. Wondering is a 4850 with a 15 t pinion on 2s with the trackstar 120a ESC would work or would that overheat cause of the 4850 motor

The next upgrade for me would be the shocks. Aluminum bottom nut and delrin inserts.
Some people don't like the lighten star wheel hexes. As long as you don't overtighten the set screw, I think it's fine.

I would get the aluminum servo horn. I would also get the aluminum diff pins.

and by the aluminum pins do you mean these?

Do I assume it comes with plastic hexes? cause there are these as well.

Are the aluminum diff pins just for better wear? I never heard anything bad about the composites.
And would you recommend the delrin inserts on a new kit?

I would definitely upgrade to aluminum a block.
Those are the aluminum diff pins. Some people have broken the plastic diff pins. That's why I recommended the alum diff pins. I never ran the plastic diff pins - I went straight to the aluminum.
The delrin inserts are smoother than the stock shock inserts. It's not a must. It does improve performance though.

Just use a little loctite on the set screw for the stock hexes and snug them up. Not too much. Works great.

Hey Guys,
I just picked up my new Tekno SCT410.3! I need a little gearing help. I am swapping over the electronics from my Slash 4x4. The motor and ESC are a Castle 2650kv and a Castle Sidewinder 8th ESC. I eventually plan to get a Tekin Setup but for now this is what I have. I run this setup on 3s and I am wondering what you guys think a good pinion to start with is?
Thanks for any help!

RPM should be comparable to a 4000kv on 2S... so, depending on track size... somewhere around 17T (+/- 1) pinion, would be my first guess.
