I gave the turbuckle braces a try. They work well in smooth track situations where there is not alot of traction. They do, however, tend to get sloppy after very little use. I also didnt open the mounting holes in the body to account for the additional flex = broken brand new body

for 1$ a peice...its worth it to swap em for the ease of concience....Knowing its a Brand new set and they should'nt fail.

here's another option instead of the turnbuckle braces.

all you need is a couple of small rubber bands or the hair bands. you remove ballcup from throttle and stretch the bands from the ballend of throttle to fuel inlet nipple under the fuel line. works like a charm. and for what its worth, the bigger races check for some type of throttle return to prevent runaways. i have used rubber bands for three years on the rcpro circuit and have passed everytime using these.

i have the 5R for 3 mons. ,so far no break issue,clearing the triple at ease , corner speed is awesome ,but the only thing i dont like is the bump steer ,but i still can manage to win LOL .....................
