Im pretty sure the car in your pic is the V3. The Exotek chassis and the car in the pic I posted look a lot narrower.

Today I had a little time at the hobby shop so I redid my shocks with new orings and fresh oil. Did one blue Durango Oring in the shock first and then a purple one. This gives me the best of both worlds as I have super smooth shock that don't leak but it slides with little to no sticktion.
I also addressed my shock bottom problem with the Kyosho springs popping over the bottom spring retainer. I took some Losi 22 alum top thread spring collar and used my dremel and saned down the thread part for about 30 seconds on each one. This allows my plastic spring retainer to fit perfectly into the bottom of the Losi thread spring retainer and now no more springs popping off. Now I can use AE, Losi and Kysohp springs with the spring opping over the bottom retainer. Really allows me to use many different spring combos and I also don't need to run my spring retainers down so far on the shock. Mod is simple and takes about 5 minutes or less.

The Exotek MM chassis w/ JC S2 body has been ordered. Looking forward to the conversion.

ended up getting some store credit from Amain by returning some parts that weren't working out like I hoped.
Anyone got recent thoughts on the VRP pistons for the dex210? Thinking of using some of that money there.

Here is the Exotek Durango with a JC B5M body that I cut out and mounted. I had this body laying around already painted but never cut out so I decided today to cut it and mount it. This will be the body I will be using for the season. Just need to remove some of the cut lines I marked. Car is totally race ready now. I put a lot of time in and effort in this car. Might be one of the nicest cars I ever built. Thanksa Mike R for posting about the JC body or I might not of though about a B5 body.

dumb question, when MikeR says JC S2 (TLR 22 3.0) , which of the versions off the site? Worlds or non-worlds?

Wyd,
Looks like the B5m body fits the best?? No??
Cain,
Don't know the answer exactly but I think the worlds is for the laydown transmission. Maybe that one would work as well??

Just a thought with all of you trying to mount these new bodies. The dex210f has those body clip tabs that mount to the shock tower, those might work with some modification??
Maybe screw a longer body mount where the original rear one was??
Also the Yokomo YZ2 has those body clip tabs that bolt to the rear angle of the chassis. Might be able to thread those right into the chassis support on the exotek and use those. I don't know how tight the body hugs the support though.
Once you all get them mounted, share some of your techniques and ideas to help us all out.
Thx!!
