I hadn't thought about the tolerance of the bearing. THAT makes sense. Thanks.

Another couple of questions (Sorry if I'm asking too many )

The steering tie rods, what size spanner will I need for them, as I want to get proper tools for them to minimise any chance of damage while building/setting up.

Also, I would be right in assuming that the rear axle is also imperial? ie 1/4 inch diameter?

Thanks
Rob.

Yes, 1/4 inch O.D. on the rear axle.

CRC is the only one with a 1/4" axle to my knowledge. All others have 6mm (with very rare exception).

Rear axle is definitely 1/4" as the bearings are 1/4 x 3/8 x 1/8.

Same as almost every 1/12 as well.

Yes this is what I have been thinking regarding my X10. I think what I need is the X1 left and right rear hubs and X1 steering blocks and axles. Though I have the feeling the rear end of the X10 would be too narrow with the F1 tires.

Thanks for the answers guys.

The 3 Racing F113 has a 1/4" rear axle & uses 2 of 1/4th x 3/8th x 1/8th flanged bearings in the diff as well.

Rob.

Half way through the build but I did a quick measure and I think a 120mm sensor cable minimum with the battery mounted side to side.

Has anyone else tried the Tuning Haus Damper tube in place of the roll shock yet?

Built and ran the car this weekend for the first time. FUN FUN FUN.......... but looking to start a little slight tweaking on the kit setup. I run at Thunder RC in Nashville and our current layout is like the snowbirds which many Team Xray guys came to prior to snowbirds to get some track time. its high grip most consistently. I installed the Shimizu 571 and 572 grip was good in the straights. I am looking to improve on steady and power steering; it pushes till you roll off the throttle then turn in I'm spot on. Corner exits the rear lift up and has tire spin. I pretty sure that me and throttle overload. Im an older returning Rc hobby lover and don't remember 12th scale tuning as they have change a lot. Ive been looking through the threads on hear and X-rays web site. have got a lot of options to look at. I feel the car is good now; just the slight controlled push from the kit setup.
