I tried to get Cseils (http://www.rctech.net/forum/painting...am-decals.html) to make some of his Custom Racing Stickers for this body when I was making those templates. He ran into the same problem as you. The body doesn't come with decals, so few people buy it. And because few people buy it, nobody is making decals for it. Maybe you and he should get together on this. He could probably produce them for less than what you're currently paying. My current McAllister body is getting really beat up and I want to replace it, but I'm "on the fence" about getting another one because of this dillema.

I tried to get him to do some too, even tried to get him to contact McAllister to get a body. I only made mine because his Pegasus Mustang ones are so wrong for this body.

I'm going to give a few sets of these ones to a couple guys from AZ who run w/ Gary quite a bit - if they are good enough for that group, I may make more (at least the grille and tail lights)

I need to refine the artwork a little better so the sign shop can get a truer black, and a better cut line , but these don't look terrible from 10 ft.

Yeah, I've been using mine for about a year now and I really like it. My TC3 handles better with this body than any of the others I've tried on just about all the tracks I've raced. During big races I keep trying to switch off to my J71 and every time I do, it screws up the handling of the car. It's just a nice and very neutral handling lid. Here's a couple pics of mine right after finishing it with rattle cans and Custom Racing Stickers. I posted it about a year ago and got alot of nice comments. It was one of my better finishes. There's a couple more ounces of tape and Shoe Goo on it now but it still works well.

From the background car, looks like you have a common paint scheme. I like the orange "flames" that really aren't flames. Good job (don't forget the numbers though).

Thanks. The common paint scheme helps keep paint cost down and manageable. Rattle cans at $$8/ea can get costly and unmanageable if it spans to too many colors.

I'll try to find some numbers. Maybe I'll have to rummage through some hobby shop's bargain bin for some old Autographics Winston Cup numbers.

Double tape on the flange between the body and the bumper piece. Then applied HPI aluminum reinforcement tape on the inside.

I didn't want to use screws because it could potentially tear the body or damage the flange at the screw hole in the event of a mishap. That way if the front piece get severely damaged, I can just untape and tape in the spare bumper piece that came with the body.

The colors are Tamiya Gun Metal and Tamiya Orange.

Body ready for SoCal's OUTLAW 1000 Outlaw VTA Enduro

This is the Team DIEHARD V McAllister Racing Mustang to be piloted by Mike Jennings, Bryan Myers, Joe Myers & Brad Muther ... Hopefully it still looks good after a 1000 Lap / 5 hr. Enduro!

Has anyone heard any news regarding when HPI/Hobbico will have items back in stock? I'm in need of a new '69 Camaro body. Anyone have one NIP for sale?

Anybody ever try any of RJSpeed's bodies?:

P/N #BOL2112 - 190mm '68 Camaro:

P/N #BOL2113 - 190mm '65 Mustang Fastback:

P/N #BOL2262 - 200mm '68 Camaro:

P/N #BOL2263 - 200mm '65 Mustang Fastback:

P/N #BOL2371 - '67 Camaro:

Looks like the same picture for a '67 and a '68 Camaro...
