there's something seriously wrong with this car, can never hold a straight line. I'm running 13.5 boosted, and seems when the turbo kicks in, it maybe twists and buckles the chassis so much that it veers off course.

come on aftermarket chassis!! when are you being released??

Not sure a lot of TA06 is under 1400gr...
--> My friend's one is 1475gr ready to race.

But you're right... To play with top Yokomo or Xray cars, mine will have to keep on diet. But I really don't know how...

1350 is our weight min, I would doubt the extra 25grams would hurt it at all and not to be worried about.

I would rather an overweight balanced car versus a lighter unbalanced car.

mine is 1405 race ready. It'd be nice if I could drop another 50g...
if I were to stay with the tub chassis:
1. the CF reinforced parts should bring it down another 15-20g
2. the CF battery tray should bring it down 5g (stock with ti screws is 28g)
3. if someone makes alum versions of the 2 lay shafts, that should be another 5g.
4. Alum. outdrives might save another 5g.

so total of 30-35g is what I'm expecting. All the small stuff adds up. pretty close to weight limit.

Is the Alien RC CF chassis available for sell yet? ...Very interesting chassis...

Default Traction Roll

Hi there

Been playing the TA06 in the last two days fitrst day was great as I was using a 17.5 boosted, lap time were equal to my T3 2011, so today I bolted on a 4.5T and the biggest problem was it kept on traction rolled, tried all kind of setup it still happenin. The ride height has been kept very low about 4.5 mm. One thing I was very happy with, the drive train, no probmes at all.

The track was a high grip track, and I dont want to used lesser grip tire to solve the traction rolling problems.

Cheers

You have sway bars installed? Maybe you can also go up a little on oil and springs. My other guess is that the shock towers are so soft that it's allowing the car to roll too far. Are there any scrape marks on your chassis?

Anybody running one of these in VTA?
I'm considering giving it a shot, but I had a few questions about fitting the novak motor in there, will the 25.5 ballistic fit? Mostly around the solder tabs is what I'm concerned with. And is the gear ratio acheivable in this car? Roughly 3.6 FDR.

Ran mine in our local VTA class yesterday, we run open motor / esc but min lap time of 24 seconds, which penalises people who run under that by discarding their lap. Once it's set up it works well (yesterday was a clean 5 for 5, TQ's and Race Wins )

Should be able to get down to a 3.6FDR ok, can fit a 64t spur and 36t pinion on mine ok.

Not sure on Ballistic motors, I run an LRP

Hi Inpuressa, thanks for the tips

Yes, there were sway bar, using hard in front and med on the back. The spring set is Tamiya white set, tried all sort of combination.

You are right about the oil and shock tower, I will try what I can, and would like to have it run properly along those CF chassis. Thanks again!!

Edited:

The Traction roll happen especially when in corner acceleration.

wow, I wish I had that much grip I only experienced accel traction roll on off-road carpet. Maybe you have too much rebound too. I read somewhere that limiting the down travel is the most effective adjustment to avoid traction rolling. I think the plastic chassis just can't handle the speeds you are going. The reinforced chassis will be out next month, and a bunch of other companies will have the CF conversion out. Whatever it is, the layout is what caught my attention to this car. I want to see how far it can go.
