I had a Pro that never worked correctly and an S with a manufacturing defect. The 3 R's are all good as well as the other S. So according to internet logic, 100% of pro's fail, 50% of S's and 0% of R's. Only kidding of course, I'll be sticking with them for quite a while as they provide a value that none of the OVERPRICED esc's do at this time.

Word is...ROAR is about to approve the entire line of REVENTON series ESC for running the soon be release STOCK0 V20 software. It is still the same as the current Stock0 software except we have to have a VERSION # listed as this is the ROAR new rule....new update software should be out along with the new EOS winning off road software MOD2.

section 11.1 Connect the Speed Passion Smart Program Card to the reventon ESC.
Do not connect ESC with ESC fan and battery
taken straight from manual maybe it should have said with esc fan and battery connected

Have you tried holding the reset button as you connect the USB cable to the LCD Unit? It should show "Firmware Update" you can then start the software on your PC and update the firmware again. I noticed you cannot navigate away from the update page or it freezes up. Just set it going and wait about 5 minutes without clicking on anything else or opening any other programs.

Also remember that you have to install the drivers for the LCD programmer so your pc knows what it is to use it for the first time. The LCD drivers are in the folders you extracted in the zip v20 download. Just update the lcd drivers from the device manager and point it to the extracted folder to search for the update.
hope this helps

Hello ? Is this thing on
Are you looking for a solution for the problem ?
Or just ignoring the problem hoping it will go away.
I have heard at least 3 other Reventon PRO's have the same problem as mine.
They shut themselves off. I have NEVER had this problem with any other ESC.
It is nice that some people are having good luck with theirs.
But it would be nice to have some support for those of us having problems.
I judge a company by how they treat their customers after the sale.
Not just how they treat you while taking your money.

Hi,
I received the Reventon pro and have it in the car. I raced the last 2 weekends and love the punch and braking power. However after a 5 min heat race when I stop the car. The ESC is turning itself off. I also had it shut itself off when I had crashed near the end of a heat and was waiting to be marshaled. I am running 21.5 Blinky. The lipo cut off is turned off as well as the temp cut off. I also added the fan to see if it would help but it does not.
Any ideas ? LMK Thank you.

Failing that I would contact your local distributor or Speed Passion directly and organise a replacement.
Hope this helps.
I've kept my GT Prostock just in case anything happens with the new Pro so I'll have something to use if it needs to go back. I had tons of trouble with a brand new ESC by another manufacturer last year. I really hope the pro doesn't suffer the same fate.
Mine is installed in my new TCXX but i'm yet to test it in anger. So far, baring some teething problems updating the LCD firmware on Windows 7 64 bit, everything seems great.

When you connect the ESC to the PC and open the Reventon software, under settings, Hybrid Boost you have to select your motor type. Here it has recommended starting points for HB Active and HB Maximum.
I'd start with DRRS set to 7, RPM start at the highest, 9000 I think and boost delay 0.3. I would have said this was a good starting point but others may have better suggestions. Just remember to check motor temps whilst testing any new setup.
