Ran my 1st race with the SC5M last night. Qualified 3 finished 3rd. Had a bad push but also at the touch of throttle the rear end would kick out. Made adjustments and got the rear end not to kick out so bad, still had the push. Today I was looking it over and the diff was way to tight. When I would turn one tire the other tire and motor would turn same direction. I think that was probably biggest part of the problem. What do you guys think?

Can't be right if turning the same direction. Just wondering what you are running on?

Very slick hard packed dirt. I loosened the diff up just around a 1/16th of a turn and it freed the diff up.

Default Adjustments

I got to run my sc5m for the first time this weekend. I have a couple of questions. What's the internal transmission gear ratio? Is it 2.62? Also i got my suspension feeling pretty good, but i could use a little more turn inwhat could i adjust to get me a little more?

I don't run an SC5M, but if you need a slight increase in turn-in, you may want to try lowering the front roll center a little bit. Looks like you could add an extra washer under the tower ball studs (for the camber links) to accomplish this.

There are quite a few T5M spare parts that will fit the SC5M....if you have a lot of spares already might be worth getting it now.

Right I know there is a lot of similar parts, but I hate to waste the money now for the SC if in a few months there is going to be a 6 series.

When I switch and get one of these are there any needed upgrades that are necessary I don't care about bling just needed parts to improve durability, performance.

If you are going to be racing it, I strongly suggest a front swaybar. Either make your own like I did or buy the Wallie Builds one.

What would you say was the most notable difference after adding the front swaybar?

Yes it is for racing only. And I'll be racing shorty batteries instead of square packs because I already have them.
