I'll stick my neck out for a flaming, I assume the new shock uses the regular IRS shock springs. Am I wrong?

It uses the same shock spring as the IRS shock.

I know that there are lipos that fit in the car from what i am told. The car will fit the same packs as all the other cars on the market.

I am currently playing around with lipos in my 12th. The one in these pics is a Common Sense RC 2000mah 7.4v 15c. The pack is hard to see in these photos because I have basically wrapped it with weight straping tape. The size and shape of this pack is great because it allows you to put the weight right were it should be (within the intended battery location).

Running a 21.5bl I am getting 9-11 minutes of runtime (depending on gearing) on a carpet oval. This combination is also giving power equal to a 13.5bl/4cell nimh.

The LPF speed control is $159.99 and we do have them in stock. They are excellent for 1/12th.

As a couple have mentioned before there are some that will fit. However check with your local track first to see if they will let you run one. LiPo is not legal in 1/12th yet due to not being able to make the proper voltage. A 1 cell pack is too low in voltage to be competitive against 4 cell with the same motor and a 2 cell pack has voltage that is too high to be legal. It is going to be a few years yet before LiPo really makes an impact on the 1/12th scene.
