When I did it on the TCX I just used 2 of the normal purple 2mm spacers.

Ok I tried it thanks. It doesn't seem to make that much difference and at one point I had the motor out 4.5mm. Anyway, I ordered a shorty LIPO today so If I can't get the car 100% balanced with that, I'm going to be a bit upset.

Hey will the TCXX secure a shorty pack very well? or is it not designed for it?

Ok another noob question. I just want to make sure that I'm doing all this the right way the first time.

Shock building...when building the shocks and making sure they are all exactly the same length, does this mean that I measure them fully extended from top of shock cap to the very bottom of the shock?

Also, do I fill the shock with oil to the very top?

Thanks Fred. In the Jilles Groskamp pro tips video that I just watched where he shows how he rebuilds shocks, he builds them with just a slight amount of rebound. Is this needed? Also should I put the cap on, once the shock is fully filled, with the shock all the way compressed if I don't build the shock with some rebound?

Hopefully this made sense.

Depends where you're running. On carpet a little rebound (about 3mm) seems to help make the car more easy to drive and feels like it has a little more forward traction. On tarmac, generally no rebound seems to give the most grip.

For no rebound, fully compress the shock then fit the bladder and cap before you pull the shaft back out.

- what brand of spurs best to use on this car for stock racing?

- are double jointed front axles available?

I use a HB 93t spur on my TCX; should also work on the TCXX. If I remember correctly, you can only use two screws to hold the spur, but for stock racing, I've never had an issue.

Yes you can get dcj's although you do need a different outdrive
