Hey guys looking for a starting setup for my local track with a 417 v5?? Here is a video of a qualifying round. http://m.youtube.com/index?&desktop_...feature=relmfu

We run 17.5 blinky and our tire choices are Solaris hard or jaco blues. Also typlicly the traction is medium to high sometimes a little lower then medium. Thanks for any help.

this might be a silly question, but here goes

the chassis fans people mount behind the motor... are they aimed at the motor blowing air on it, or away from it, pulling air off it?

What 64p spur gears for stock are people using? I drilled out a 96T PRS spur to work with the stock holder but it's not perfect.

Also, will the Yok center shaft holder work with the stock chassis?

Will the TRF417V5 one piece servo mount bolt on to the original TRF417X lower deck? Or, are modifications required to make it work.

i ran a 94t yeah racing spur but i preferred the kawada 97t spur, both fit without drilling new holes. Ran them in 17.5t blinky

I've been using a Panaracer 96 tooth spur & I really like it, fits fine & it's one of the most quiet ones I've ever used(& if you have trouble finding them, look for Yokomo branded ones, theirs ARE Panaracers, even has the Panaracer name molded on them)....

Default Separate Suspension Blocks

The one piece sus blocks have the shims that go underneath them to adjust the roll centre.

What do you use if any on the separate sus blocks?

You can use these which are 0.5 mm and usually the norm or the 1mm ones or 0.5 mm shims need 2 per block and they are the silver tamiya ones .?

You're right.. I saw them somewhere along with XV-01 hop ups. That's the only Tamiya build I have done which uses spacer under the inner mounts

Today I was at WCRC with my 416WE and was reviewing Jilles' set ups for high traction, and on all sheets he was using a 1 mm spacer on both inner and outer rear mounts. Back then they didn't run separate mounts, so I started my research.

Hi, need a pinion to fit the 417 v5. the kit comes with 111t and 113t spur, but im not familiar with the pitch? 0.4? as i am coming from a X-ray t3. Will be running a 17.5 motor

Which tooth size pinion & brand for a mid size carpet track?

Also should i use the 111t or 113t spur?

Thanks
