Cool, is the fitment of the ball end/ball cup as good as stock?

thanks for all the info guys... it's good to get some feedback, and ideas.

Cool, I'll pick up a set to try, MUCH cheaper than the ones from Losi.

Hey guys,

Can you enlighten me again on the use of front anti-dive on the XXXs. What it does and why you would use it? I went through dozens of posts for Todd's explanation on here and TT and came up empty handed.

Thanks,
Ray

Well, to be honest, the XXX-S can't have front anti-dive, because that would require that the front of the hingepin be lower than the back. The best we can hope for is a flat hinge pin, which will reduce the tendency of nose the car to drop during braking and tight cornering.

Basically, it makes cornering more agressive and front braking more effective at the expense of handling bumps.

Dpaton, sure you can. Just use some shims under the rear mounts for the front arms. By shimming this way you can achieve a lower front pin height than the rear.

Uh, there are plenty of ways of getting anti-dive on the XXX-S. You can either add shims to the rear mounts like Doug Gout recommended, or you can simply use a different front suspension arm mount block. The roll center you are running dictates which mout and what position you must run it in...

On high roll center, you can run the 4F block in the lower bulkhead holes to attain anti-dive.

On Losi low roll center, you can run the 0F block in the lower bulkhead holes to attain anti-dive.

Hope this clears up some confusion.

I was trying to speak to folks who were working with the stock setup. Front anti-dive is indeed possible, but getting those washers in without total disassembly of the front end is a real pain IMHO...

Okay-getting there on the knowledge!!!

So car steers more aggressively in or out with anti-dive?

In other words-is it turning in or squaring up better?Thank you all in advance,
Ray

The car will stay flatter in the corner, which should equate to squaring up better, since it's less non-square throughout the corner. Because of the mechanics, you may percieve that it's turning in more agressively too. For me, the car has more 'snap' coming out of a tight corner. (I run 0 degrees of kickup)
