MD, I am basing my question on how TeamThibault set up the conversion as seen in his previous post that I quoted. The question was directed at him and not you. Your input, although not asked for, is appreciated but not valued. Thank you.

TeamThibault, do you have/know of anywhere to lessen my time looking for a tutorial on how to do the conversion you have set up? This would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Woop woop, looking good TeamThibault! You are running all metal ball bearings, correct? If not, get them!

Yup I have tamiya bearings and aluminum. Drive shaft in it I tryed the 46 pinion but I could not get it to mess. So I used a 50 tooth pinion and 75 spur. And that seems to work..what is my fdr?
With out a body but with electronics and battery it came in @ 1340grams race rdy

You're looking at an FDR of 3.9 with that setup

You want stiffer springs, and possibly thicker damper oil.

If you are rolling on corner entry first change the front springs / oil only. If its on the apex that it rolls try stiffening front and rear, exit on power the look at stiffening the rear.

I have mine oriented so that the spur gear attaches from the rear. I did need to file the end of the adapter slightly so that the holes in the shaft and adapter aligned.

I ran a 75T spur / 46T pinion combination giving an FDR of 4.24 on silver can motor. The day was extremely hot but my motor came off the track at 120 degrees.
sweet jesus... 75/46??? thats freaking huge! how did your motor not seize up? The 46t was that a robinson's part?
Sh*t I just noticed TeamThibault running 70/55. Did that not explode?

OK I will try that

any suggestion for weight in the front.....I think I put in just the oil that came with the kit but I have a bunch of different weights laying around...

forgot to add that its rolling on entry

I finally got in my chassis, but I had ended up leaving my tools at work:/ So I am just going to get a set for home. I also need a new spur gear and am extremely low on cash ($1.76 to my name) so if anyone can help me out and tell me where I can get one DIRT cheap, that would be greatly appreciated!
