Those GPM looks cool. as for batteries are you getting the run time you want with the 1700? If so stick with it or if not go with 2400. If you want even more performance try matched but for me matched is not worth it in stick packs.

Well if you want the best esc get the LRP Quantum it small and can handle mods or the V7.1, or the Novak TC2

jcr: Man, can a V7.1 fit in a F1 chassis?

rimaracing: Quantum is a good choice. Also the GMV12 and Novak Atom.

Oh, and don't forget the new KoPropo speedo, it has programmable everything on it.(as long as you buy the programmer, just like the Novak Atom) And then theres the Keyence A-01 series and the new ZeroVExtreme.

All of these are programmable very small speedos, so you have plenty of choices.

And you can't go wrong with any of these.

well it should fit. when i had my F103, I was using a Duratrax Streak and it was bigger than the LRP V7.1 so it will fit.

Or you can always stick with micro stuff like micro receiver and esc like the quantum and atom. but it all depends on how much you want to spend

rimaracing

That GPM stuff looks cool, but it must weigh a ton! I'd rather have a light car than a bunch of eye candy, personally. As far as ESC's go, I like LRP Quantum Sport because it's really small, lightweight and pretty cheap. They also have an on/off switch. I just bought a V.4 which is nice, but no on/off switch!

The gearing is you run is determined by a few factors. I usually race on a fairly small track. It's very yechnical, but has a lot of straights that aren't very long. I don't really need a lot of top end speed, but I do need a lot of acceleration. I usually try to run around 5.36:1 up to 6.00:1 gear ratio. The only combination you have that is in that range is your 109T spur and your 20T pinion. That would put you at 5.45:1. You might want to switch to 48 or 64 pitch gears where you'll have a lot more choices of gears. I run Kimbrough 75T, 48 pitch spurgears on my cars and have a bunch on pinions that I change depending on the track. Going to higher gear ratio will also give you more run time, so if you run enduro events, this may help you out. My races are 6 minutes, so it's not such a big deal for me.
