Awesomatix EP Touring Car (A700 Shaft Drive)

Earl, try moving the steering rack back. It's quick and easy too. It could make the car turn in a little faster but at the same time, depending on the toe, it can reduce the late oversteer. Also if traction is low / medium try running thicker gear diff oil... like 3000 to 5000 rear diff so the rear won't over rotate. That with less static camber as I mentioned before ( 1 degree in front and 1.5 in rear ) should help.
Also I agree with Hanulec too, remove some shims under the rear toe link to cause a little bit of toe-in during compression.
[edit] But I just remembered you were avoiding bump toe due to a bumpy track.

Awesome Weekend!
I just got home fron the VTA Carpet Nats in Fort Wayne. I put my Awesomatix cars in the A main in USGT and VTA. Probably had the best weekend of racing that I have had in a long time. Want to thank Mike and everyone else on this thread for the setup help that you have given me that allowed me to BE COMPETETIVE at a event like this. I really enjoyed the cars!

First Awesomatix car
Hey guys, mainly just wanted to introduce myself, and thank everyone that has contributed to such a great thread. I just finished reading the whole thing, trying to fill my time while I wait for my new A700L2 to get shipped, and there's definitely a ton of great info here.
I'm getting back into the hobby after a 10+ year break (brushed motors, FM radios, and NICADs were all the rage when I last ran). I have only driven Associated cars in all my years of racing (from the introduction of the original RC10 up to the TC3 when I quit, and pretty much everything in between). After reading this thread and the posted manual for the car I can see this is a very different beast from the Associated cars I'm used to. If anyone has any tips or advice they would like to give an old-timer (stuff they wish they knew before attempting their first Awesomatix build) I would love to hear anything you wish to share.
Anyway, can't wait for this masterpiece of a touring car to show up, and start getting back into the fun with you all
